I used to play and sing in the streets where I grew up. My friends would bring out their guitars, and we would start playing as soon as it got dark. It was such a simple pleasure, but it was one of my favorite things to do. I'll always cherish those memories.
During a live performance for an event, I was having a hard time singing a song. It turned out that the bass guitar was not in tune with the guitar, which caused the problem. I had no idea at the time, but looking back, it was a valuable lesson for me. It taught me the importance of checking all the instruments before a performance, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant they may seem. Now, I always make sure everything is in tune and ready to go before hitting the stage. And if things still go wrong, I just try to roll with it and make the best of the situation. Sometimes mistakes happen, and that's okay. It's all part of the live performance experience, and it can even lead to some unexpected, creative moments that you wouldn't have thought of otherwise. As a performer, you learn to adapt and make the most of whatever happens on stage, and that's all part of the thrill of live music.
I've been thinking of giving my guitar a name. It's a travel or mini guitar, which I love using for gigs, especially when I perform at bars around the metro. It's so much easier to bring along than a bigger guitar, which is why I bought it with my gig earnings back in 2019, and I've been using it ever since.
I thought of naming it "Django", but I'm open to suggestions. If you have any good ideas, I'd love to hear them! I think naming my guitar will make it feel even more personal and special to me, and it might even bring some good luck for my future performances.
