More About Anthony Dulong

My name is Anthony Dulong, and I'm a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Nova Scotia, Canada. I started playing guitar when I was 11 and began writing music a few years later. I've always been drawn to artists who sound like they mean what they're saying—R.E.M., Live, Blind Melon, Tool, Sublime, NOFX, and Blink-182 have all left their mark on me in different ways.

I've spent years writing, recording, performing, and learning how to play just about anything I can get my hands on. A lot of my music comes from simply being alive and trying to make sense of the strange, funny, painful, and beautiful parts of it. My goal has never been to sound like everyone else. I want to keep creating, keep improving, and hopefully make music that connects with someone who needs to hear it.
Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

I've played outside a lot, and one time we ran out of rum. My so-called friend decided the obvious solution was to rob the liquor store. I had a better idea.

I went and played guitar on a bench for about 20 minutes and made $40. We bought the rum. Problem solved. Honestly, I feel like that was one of my better ideas.

Embarrassing Moment

I know how to play a ridiculous amount of Red Hot Chili Peppers songs, and I sing the lead vocals to them. The only problem is, I don't actually know the words to any of them.

I just make up whatever comes out of my mouth and somehow people seem to love it. So I guess it's not really embarrassing, except to me, because I literally have no idea what I'm saying on stage.

My Instrument

My acoustic guitar is called “ood.” Technically, my ex-girlfriend glued “Poo” to the guitar using some unknown material. I didn't name it, and I honestly don't know if she was mad at me or not.

I play guitar upside down, so from my perspective it reads “ood.” I never removed it. Some people still call my guitar Poo, but I don't call it anything but my love.
