More About 1adam12

I have a great deal of material that I've written over the years.
https://1adam121.bandcamp.com/

Influences: 5 senses and a-priori are supreme influence. What that means specifically is, I dig all my Kinks and Beatle records to no end. I love lasagna and cantalope (not at the same time). I love looking at guitars and playing them. The smell of gasoline is kinda nice in moderation.
A-priori wise; well thatsa gonna be in the lyric when you listen to whats going on.

Goals: catharsis
Grew up: in chaos, with air-guitar to real guitar. I still love the oldies stations most especially when there are songs that come up that I have not heard.

Do a Google search for 1adam12 or Noise Museum or The Oxygen Tent, and or Malcolm Tent accordion. Look on the upper left, there will be enough recorded music to keep you busy for a while. A lot of the music was recorded mostly in NJ and NY, and on formats from everything from mono single cassette all the way to 2" tape on a Studer/Neve an
Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

Marveling at 2 80+ year olds dancing to a song of mine called "Aging Woman, Aging Man" in Atlantic City back in the 2000's. Life's just a cocktail party on the street, they go t people dressed in plastic bags....

Embarrassing Moment

Adam: Hey Jonathan, my name's Adam, thanks for coming here to NJ to play (Green Parrot, Neptune NJ) We loved the show and you were really great. I've seen you a lot over the years and I always enjoy it. I have to tell you that you are a huge inspiration to me, I write songs too and you really knock me out.

Jonathan Richman: um, Adam thank you very much for that, but you know you just have to be yourself Adam, you are not me.

Adam: (dumbfounded).....walks away.

Now Jonathan's weirdness never affected me. I still love him and I wear that influence on a sleeve with certain songs. Alex Chilton was much more of a gentleman to me meeting him, and Glenn Mercer after meeting him has become my good friend and bandmate.

My Instrument

My blue Rickenbacker 620, I miss it. I sold it to get a 360, which I converted to a 370 to mimic Lennon's little 325 from far away on the Beatles "something else" record (Capitol)..kicking myself. It was so punchy and bright...thank goodness I recorded with it back then.
I have a bunch of guitars, my new fav is a 90 Gretsch Roundup that I customized with all related liberace stuff.
